BIM technology in the world has come to stay. Today nobody doubts its potential, in fact, the global market size of BIM was valued at 5.20 billion dollars in 2019, and is expected to reach 15.06 billion dollars in 2027, being the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.3% from 2020 to 2027 (Source: Allied Market Research, March 2020).
At PEFIPRESA we have always been aware of the potential and added value provided by the use of this technology in fire protection for our clients. And for this reason, the beginnings of our adaptation to the BIM methodology are now a thing of the past.
BIM AND FIRE PROTECTION
Today, we continue to advance in the use of BIM as a tool to improve the quality of the service we offer our clients in fire protection. This tool is based on the use of multidimensional technology beyond 3D and has many competitive advantages over traditional procedures.
It allows us, among other things, to know the properties and data of the systems that make up the installation in real time, in addition to having synchronized information with all kinds of details in each of the stages that make up a project, obtaining, therefore, a streamlining, as well as a decrease in design times. In addition, with the use of this technology, we reduce the extra costs that could arise due to unforeseen events.
However, and although all the advantages that this technology offers are evident, there is still much to improve, and a long way to go. Until it is a tool for use completely established worldwide, society will not be able to benefit from its great potential.
For this reason, PEFIPRESA , in its day to day, will continue working, contributing and promoting its use, doing its bit so that that future arrives as soon as possible for the benefit of all.
